Andy Mitchell
Founder & CEO

Andy Mitchell is the Founder, CEO and Managing Partner of Lantern Capital Partners. Mr. Mitchell brings over 20 years of investment management, financial advisory, capital markets and restructuring experience. His professional investment and advisory experience includes Cerberus Capital Management, Centerbridge Partners, Ally Financial’s Global Special Assets Group, Houlihan Lokey’s and PricewaterhouseCoopers’ restructuring groups.  He serves on several boards including, among others, American Zinc Recycling (specialty zinc business), Goodbulk, Ltd (shipping and transportation), Lantern Entertainment (media and entertainment) and Bluejack National (hospitality). 

Prior to joining Lantern, Mr. Mitchell led Ally Financial’s Global Special Assets Group (SAG) and served as President of the Business Capital Group, where he led the turnaround and management of non-performing portfolios in the United States, Canada, Mexico and the United Kingdom.  During Mr. Mitchell’s tenure, these divisions managed more than 300 investments including approximately $5 billion of debt and equity positions. As part of Ally’s transformation to a bank holding company, Mr. Mitchell led the creation of the SAG and policies related to the management of special assets and watch-list credits. He also chaired Ally’s SAG Investment Committee and worked with the Federal Reserve and other regulators on related compliance issues.

Mr. Mitchell joined Ally from Cerberus Capital Management where he focused on originating and managing distressed or opportunistic investments across the entire capital structure, including both debt and equity.

He also worked for the financial restructuring group of Houlihan Lokey and PricewaterhouseCoopers as financial and operations advisor (including interim management) to middle market companies both in and out of court.

Mr. Mitchell has led and assisted in numerous major and middle market transactions across a variety of industries including: complex restructurings, recapitalizations, private placements, distressed mergers and acquisitions and valuations of distressed and healthy companies. He has been a speaker on restructuring topics at several conferences and universities and is a member of the Turnaround Management Association.

Mr. Mitchell has a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a double major in finance and accounting from TCU.  He lives with his wife Kristin and five children in Dallas, Texas.


Josh Governale

Josh Governale, with a 23-year career spanning media, marketing, public relations, and talent relations, has crafted some of the most recognizable and effective campaigns. Before establishing The Governale Group in 2014, he served as an executive at FOX, where he led and executed communications and marketing strategies for major network television programming. While consistently enhancing brand visibility and content promotion, Josh delivered an exceptional experience for the press, global corporate clients, and renowned talent. Leaders across various industries have entrusted him to communicate their stories and devise precision marketing plans for world-class brands.

Having navigated the demands of a 24/7 industry throughout his career, Josh is consistently praised for his leadership, discerning taste, execution skills, and the cultivation of elite, A-list industry relationships.

After his foundational years at FOX in Los Angeles, Josh continues to bring an authentic approach to media and marketing, fostering brand affinity and delivering optimal results. A graduate of TCU, Josh is married and takes pride in being the father of two children.


Kristin Mitchell
President, Lantern Family

Kristin Mitchell earned her Bachelor's degree in Marketing with a focus on Spanish from TCU. Her professional background is rooted in international research and sales within the consumer and new product domains. Presently, she holds the role of Co-Founder and President at Lantern Family, a foundation dedicated to enhancing education, healthcare, and overall well-being for children and military families. Kristin also serves as the Co-Chairman of Bluejack National. Leveraging her keen eye for design, she actively participates in the architectural review and design committees at Bluejack.

Kristin lives in Dallas with her husband Andy and their five children, and she is actively engaged in philanthropy and sits on several boards dedicated to charitable causes.

Katherine Kaye
Controller

Katherine Kaye is the Controller for Lantern Capital Partners and Lantern Asset Management. Prior to joining Lantern, Mrs. Kaye was an Assistant Vice President at SandsPoint Capital Advisors, a boutique professional services firm providing fund accounting and consulting services for investment managers. During her tenure at SandsPoint, she was responsible for the accounting and financial reporting of multiple private equity funds, comprising nearly $1 billion of domestic investments in commercial real estate, hotels and loan portfolios. Previous to her role at SandsPoint, Mrs. Kaye was a Senior Associate for KPMG in the audit practice where she focused on publicly listed clients ranging from multibillion-dollar department stores to high-end retailers. Mrs. Kaye started her career at KPMG in 2011 and brings 10 years of experience in accounting and funds management to the Lantern team.  

Mrs. Kaye is a Certified Public Accountant and received both her bachelor’s and master’s degree in business and accounting from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin.

Landon Wilson
Asset Manager

Landon Wilson joined Lantern in 2021 as an Asset Manager. Prior to joining Lantern, he was a Funds Management Associate at SandsPoint Capital Advisors, a boutique professional services firm providing fund accounting and consulting services for investment managers. He also served as a Staff Auditor at Ernst & Young LLP from 2016 to 2018.

Mr. Wilson is a Certified Public Accountant and received both his bachelor’s and master’s degree in accounting from Baylor University.


Ana Moriera
Senior Executive Assistant

Ana Moriera (pronounced “Ma-RAY-duh”) is a seasoned professional with over 20 years of experience providing C-level support, including 7 years in the hospitality industry. A native of Dallas, Ana brings a unique blend of expertise to Lantern, Bluejack, and The Mitchell Family Office, with a legal background and a track record of success in global corporations.

In her current role as Senior Executive Assistant, Ana manages a wide range of responsibilities, including liaising with high-net-worth individuals, portfolio companies, and properties, showcasing her versatility and efficiency. Simultaneously, she also serves at Bluejack Management Company, where she applies her hospitality industry experience and skills to make a meaningful impact.

Ana's extensive background also includes significant contributions at FelCor Lodging Trust, where she served as an Executive Legal Assistant and Risk Management Coordinator, proving instrumental in the company's success.
